Benefits & Financial Support
The scholarship provides up to 100% coverage of tuition and exam fees, not a fixed cash amount. For professional courses: Girls receive 100% tuition and exam fees for both government and non-government aided institutions; Boys receive 50% tuition for unaided/permanent unaided institutions and 100% for others, plus 50% exam fee. For non-professional courses: Both girls and boys receive 100% tuition and exam fees for all institutions. Benefits are disbursed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through the MahaDBT portal.

Candidates are selected based on eligibility criteria including Maharashtra domicile, admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for professional/technical courses (Diploma/Graduation/Post Graduation), family annual income not exceeding ₹8,00,000, no other scholarship/stipend, and admission under General or SEBC category
Only the first two children from a family can avail the scheme in a given academic year
Fresh applicants must be bonafide students with minimum 50% attendance (except first-semester fresh admits), and must have attempted all annual/semester exams.
Renewal Policy
Renewal is available for students who received the scholarship in the previous year
Conditions include:no gap of 2 or more years during course duration, minimum 50% attendance in the previous semester (except for first-semester fresh admits), submission of previous year mark sheet and family income certificate, and having attempted all annual or semester examinations
Renewal applications for AY 2024-25 were extended to March 31, 2025.

The total annual income of the applicant's family or guardian must not exceed ₹8,00,000 (8 Lakhs). This is a strict eligibility criterion, and applicants must submit a valid Previous Year Family Annual Income Certificate.
Q. Can more than two children from the same family receive this scholarship simultaneously?▼
No. Only the first two children from a single family can avail the benefit of this scholarship in a given academic year. If a family has three or more children in college, only two of them can receive the scholarship at the same time. An undertaking confirming this must be submitted.
Q. When will the application portal open for the 2025-26 academic year?▼
As of October 22, 2025, the application window for AY 2025-26 has closed (last date was March 31, 2025). The portal is expected to reopen for new applications in December 2025–January 2026. Renewal applications for AY 2024-25 were extended to March 31, 2025.
