The scholarship provides financial assistance by reimbursing tuition and exam fees. For professional courses, students with an annual family income up to ₹2,50,000 may receive 100% tuition fees, while those with an income between ₹2,50,000 and ₹8,00,000 may receive 50% of tuition fees. For non-professional courses, up to 100% of tuition fees are reimbursed for incomes up to ₹8,00,000. Exam fees are reimbursed at 50% for professional courses and 100% for non-professional courses. The benefits are disbursed in two installments directly into the Aadhaar-seeded bank account of the student through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
