₹2.0 Lakh+

The scholarship provides up to ₹2,00,000 per annum for Undergraduate (UG) courses as 50% tuition fee reimbursement (capped at ₹2L), plus a book grant and hostel allowance where applicable. For Class 11–12 students, it offers ₹25,000 per year or 50% fee waiver. For Postgraduate (PG) candidates, it is ₹10,000 plus 50% fee reduction. All amounts are disbursed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

  • Medical Course:Up to ₹2 Lakhs per year fee assistance.

  • Engineering/Professional:Up to ₹50,000 per year fee assistance.

  • Non-Professional UG:Up to ₹25,000 per year fee assistance.

  • Hostel Allowance:Up to ₹12,000 per year (₹1,200/month for 10 months).

Selection Process

  • Candidates are selected based on merit in the qualifying examination: 80% in Class 12 (Science/General stream) for UG programs, 80% in Class 10 for Diploma programs, and 65% for Diploma-to-Degree pathways

  • Selection also requires Gujarat domicile, family income below ₹6 lakh/year, and admission in a recognized Gujarat-based institution.

Renewal Policy

  • The scholarship is renewable yearly subject to maintaining at least 50% marks (or equivalent SGPA) in the previous year's exam

  • Students must submit verified academic results and admission proof through the official portal annually

  • failure to meet the SGPA/marks criteria results in discontinuation.

Common Questions (FAQs)

What is the minimum income limit for MYSY eligibility?

The annual family income must be less than ₹6 lakh. An valid Income Certificate (not older than 3 years) must be uploaded during application.

Can I apply if I am studying in a college outside Gujarat?

No. The scholarship is exclusively for students pursuing courses in Gujarat-based Government or recognized institutions. Only Gujarat domicile students with admission in Gujarat colleges are eligible.
