How to Apply Online

Applications are submitted online via Online. Complete eKYC, upload scanned documents, and submit before the closing date.

  Initial Application (for Class 8 students) * Visit the Official Portal: Students should visit the official Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) portal for NMMS, which is `https://mscenmms.in`. * School-Facilitated Application: The application process is primarily facilitated through the student's school, not directly by the student. Students are advised to contact their school authorities for guidance and assistance. * School Login: Schools will log in using their unique UDISE code and password. * Fill Student Details: Schools will fill in the student's details, including Class 7 marks, family income (not exceeding ₹3,50,000), category, and other required information. * Upload Documents: Required documents such as the Class 7 marksheet, income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), school bonafide certificate, Aadhaar card, and recent passport-size photographs must be uploaded as scanned copies by the school. * Pay Application Fee: The application fee must be paid online through the school, and the completed form submitted before the official deadline. ###

  Exam and Result * Admit Card

  Admit cards are released online, and schools can download them using their UDISE code and password. Students should obtain their admit cards from their respective schools. * Appear for Exam: Students must appear for the state-level NMMS examination, which comprises the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). * Check Result: Results and merit lists are declared online on the official MSCE Pune websites: `https://mscenmms.in` or `https://mscepune.in`. Students typically need to enter their 13-digit Seat Number and Mother's Name to access their results. ###

  Claiming Scholarship (Post-Selection for Class 9 onwards) * Document Verification at School: Students whose names appear in the NMMS merit list must visit their school for verification of original documents (e.g., Class 7 marksheet, income certificate, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook). * Bank Account and Aadhaar Linking: A joint bank account with one parent in a nationalized bank (preferably State Bank of India or any other public sector bank with core banking facility) must be opened if not already existing. This account must be linked (seeded) with the student's Aadhaar number for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the scholarship amount. * NSP Registration: Students must then register as a fresh Class 9 applicant on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at `https://scholarships.gov.in` with the assistance of their school. * Complete NSP Application: Complete the NSP registration by providing all necessary details and submitting required documents through the portal. ###

  Scholarship Renewal (for Classes 10, 11, and 12) * Annual Renewal on NSP: From Class 10 onwards, students must submit a renewal application on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) annually. * Login and Update: Log in to the NSP using your existing credentials (OTR ID). Update academic details, including the date of admission to the new class, marks obtained in the previous year's examination, and school details (if changed within allowed types – Government/Government-aided only). * Submit Application: Review the application carefully and submit it before the deadline each academic year. While documents may not need to be uploaded directly on NSP for scholarships under ₹50,000, ensure all required documents for renewal are verified by the school. ###

  Status Tracking and Payment Monitoring * NSP Application Status: Once the application is submitted on NSP, students can track its status by logging into their NSP account under the 'Application Tracking (OTR)' or 'Application Tracking' section. * DBT Payment Status: For scholarship payment status, which is processed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), students or parents can typically track it on the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) portal or the MahaDBT portal (`mahadbt2.maharashtra.gov.in`) using their login credentials. The MahaDBT portal offers granular application tracking to view real-time status and monitor progress at every stage.
