About the Program
The Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) supports the children of CAPF and Assam Rifles personnel (deceased/retired/serving) in their higher professional studies.
Benefits & Financial Support
₹2,500/month for boys (₹30,000/year) and ₹3,000/month for girls (₹36,000/year).
Inclusions
Up to ₹36,000 annually.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Undergraduate
Must be enrolled in Professional and Technical Degrees (B.E., MBBS, Law, etc.). Minimum 60% marks required in previous exam.
Financial & Category
Important Note
Financial support for wards of paramilitary personnel pursuing professional education.
Selection Process
Based on service category and merit (60% min).
Renewal Policy
Renewable subject to 50% marks
