Benefits & Financial Support
The Radboud Scholarship Programme is a partial scholarship that significantly reduces the tuition fee for non-EU/EEA students. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the tuition fee is reduced from approximately €18,000 to €2,695. This represents a tuition fee waiver of €15,305 (approximately 1,377,450 INR at an exchange rate of 1 EUR = 90 INR). The scholarship also covers costs for visa application, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance for the stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance). Please note that the costs of living and daily study expenses in the Netherlands are not covered by the scholarship.
Inclusions
Hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport.
Not be eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fee for other reasons.
Have obtained (or will obtain) a Bachelor's degree achieved outside the Netherlands.
Have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands and did not receive any previous education in the Netherlands (exchange programmes excluded, provided they are part of the Bachelor's degree achieved outside the Netherlands).
Meet the English language proficiency requirement for the Master's programme of your choice.
Have been fully admitted to an English-taught Master's programme at Radboud University starting 1 September 2026, as stated in the formal letter of admission.
Be able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
Be enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master's programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.

Selection Process
The Radboud Scholarship Programme is highly selective. Selection is based on academic excellence, ambition, and the quality of reference letters.
Academic excellence:Demonstrated through outstanding study results (grades, test scores, publications), the relevance of your previous degree to the Master's programme, and the ranking of the university where you obtained your previous degree(s).
Ambition:Assessed by the quality and relevance of your motivation letter for the Master's programme, and your potential based on previous achievements and work in the relevant field of study.
References:Quality of the recommendations in the two reference letters, preferably academic references.
All applicants are individually considered by the selection committee of the faculty they applied to. Some study programmes may also conduct interviews.
Renewal Policy
For students admitted to a two-year Master's programme, to qualify for the grant again for the second year, you need to have successfully passed all courses in the first year.
Application Process
- 1Apply for a Master's Programme
First, apply for admission to an eligible English-taught Master's programme at Radboud University through the OSIRIS Application system.
- 2Indicate Scholarship Interest
During your Master's admission application in the OSIRIS system, indicate that you wish to apply for a Radboud Scholarship.
- 3Upload Additional Documents
You will be requested to upload three additional documents for the scholarship application: two reference letters and a Curriculum Vitae. If these were already uploaded for your Master's programme application, you can upload them again.
- 4Submit Application
The initial deadline to submit your application in the OSIRIS system for the 2026/2027 academic year was 31 January 2026, 23:59 CET.
- 5Complete Application
Your application will be checked, and you may be requested to pay a handling fee or correct/provide missing documents. You need to resubmit your complete application by 14 February 2026, 23:59 CET at the latest. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- 6English Proficiency
It is recommended to submit your proof of English proficiency before the 14 February 2026 deadline.
- 7Decision Notification
You will be informed about the final scholarship decision before mid-April 2026 (date subject to change).
