The scholarship is fully funded and includes full tuition fee coverage, which is paid directly by the Swedish Institute (SI) to the Swedish university each semester. Additionally, it provides a monthly living allowance of SEK 12,000 (approximately 115,920 INR per month, totaling around 1,390,320 INR annually based on an approximate exchange rate of 1 SEK = 9.66 INR) to cover living expenses throughout the study period. A one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 (approximately 144,900 INR) is also provided for most eligible countries. Scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine receive SEK 10,000 for travel. This travel grant does not apply to students already living in Sweden. The scholarship also includes comprehensive medical insurance and access to the SI Network for Global Professionals. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-seeded accounts is not applicable for this international scholarship.

Search for and apply to English-taught master's programs that are eligible for the SI scholarship. The list of eligible programs for 2026/2027 will be published in mid-November 2025 on the SI website. 3. You can apply for up to four master's programs through this centralized portal. 4. Ensure you meet the admission requirements for your chosen universities/programs. 5. Pay the application fee to University Admissions on time. 6. Save your personal application number (eight digits) from University Admissions, as you will need it for the SI scholarship application.

Fill out the online application form and attach all your prepared documents. 3. Submit your application by the deadline: 14:59 CET on 25 February 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Await University Admissions and Scholarship Announcements 1. University Admissions Announcement: On March 26, 2026, University Admissions will publish the results of your master's program applications. You must be admitted (or conditionally admitted) to an SI-eligible master's program to be considered for the scholarship. 2. SI Scholarship Announcement: The final list of scholarship recipients will be announced on April 23, 2026. If you are selected, you will also receive a confirmation email.
