This amount is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the student's Aadhaar-seeded general savings bank account. It covers college fees, purchase of computers, stationery, books, equipment, software, etc. No other additional grants are provided for hostel charges or medical charges.

Candidates are selected purely based on merit, determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th or equivalent for Diploma courses, and 10+2/equivalent for Degree courses) for admission to an AICTE-approved institution

Renewal Policy

The scholarship is renewed annually for the next year of study, provided the student submits a promotion certificate/mark sheet, duly certified by the Head of the Institution, through the National Scholarship Portal

The scholarship will be forfeited if a student fails to get promoted to the next class/level, drops out, or receives any other financial assistance/scholarship from Central Government, State Government, or AICTE for the same purpose during her course of study.
How to Apply Online
Applications are submitted online via Online. Complete eKYC, upload scanned documents, and submit before the closing date.

Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP): Go to the official website, scholarships.gov.in.

If you are a new user, click on 'New Registration' and follow the guidelines. Read the undertaking, accept the terms, and click 'Continue'. Fill in the required details in the registration form (fields marked with an asterisk are compulsory) and click 'Register'. Your Application ID and password will be displayed and sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.

Use your Application ID and password to log in. You may need to provide an OTP received on your registered mobile number and create a new password.
- 4Fill the Application Form
Once logged in, click on 'Application Form' from the left pane. Fill in all necessary details, including personal, academic, institution, and bank information.

Upload scanned copies of all required documents. These typically include: * Class 10th and 12th Marksheets (as applicable). * Aadhaar Card. * Valid Annual Family Income Certificate (issued by State/UT Government). * Admission Letter from the Centralized Admission Authority. * Tuition Fee Receipt for the current academic year. * Applicant's Passport-size Photograph and Signature. * Bank Passbook (Aadhaar-seeded, with photo, account number, IFSC code, and stamped by the bank). * Caste Certificate (if applicable, for SC/ST/OBC). * Study/Bonafide Certificate from the Head of the Institution. * Parent's Declaration.

Your application will first be verified by your educational institution and then by the respective State/UT's Department of Technical Education (DTE).

You can also check your payment status on the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) Portal using your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or NSP Application ID.

Who is eligible to apply for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girl Students?
Girl students who are Indian citizens and have been admitted to the first year (or second year through lateral entry) of a Diploma or Degree level technical course in any AICTE-approved institution are eligible. A maximum of two girl children per family can avail the scholarship, and the annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹8 lakh per annum during the preceding financial year. Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarship from Central Government, State Government, or AICTE for the same purpose.
How is the scholarship amount disbursed to the selected students?
The scholarship amount of ₹50,000 per annum is disbursed as a lump sum through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the student's Aadhaar-seeded general savings bank account. It is crucial for the student to have a general savings account in her name (minor/joint accounts are not accepted).
What are the conditions for renewal or discontinuation of the Pragati Scholarship?
The scholarship will be renewed annually for the subsequent year of study upon the successful submission of a promotion certificate/mark sheet, duly certified by the Head of the Institution, through the National Scholarship Portal. The scholarship will be discontinued if the student fails to get promoted to the next class/level, drops out of the course, or is found to be receiving financial assistance from any other Central Government, State Government, or AICTE-sponsored scholarship scheme. In such cases, the entire amount of scholarship may have to be refunded to AICTE.
