Saksham scheme ensures that specially-abled students can pursue technical degrees/diplomas without financial barriers by providing ₹50,000 yearly.

An amount of ₹50,000 per annum is awarded as a lump sum for every year of study, covering expenses such as college fees, purchase of computers, stationery, books, equipment, and software. No additional grants are provided for hostel fees, medical expenses, or similar charges. The scholarship is disbursed annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

Selection Process

How to Apply Online
Applications are submitted online via Online. Complete eKYC, upload scanned documents, and submit before the closing date.

If you are a new user, click on 'New Registration' and provide your personal details, contact information, and educational qualifications. It is crucial to ensure all information is accurate. Your Application ID and password will be generated and sent via SMS.

Use your registered credentials (Application ID and password) to log in to the AICTE scholarship portal on NSP. You may need to provide an OTP for secure access and create a new password if it's your first login.

Once logged in, navigate to the 'Application Form'. Fill in all the required details accurately, including academic background, disability information, and family income.

Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents. These typically include: Aadhaar card, Class 10th and 12th mark sheets (and relevant ITI/Diploma certificates for lateral entry), valid disability certificate (40% or more disability), annual family income certificate (issued by State/UT Government), admission letter, fee receipt for the current academic year, and a copy of your Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook. Ensure all scanned copies are clear to avoid rejection.

After completing the application and uploading documents, submit your application. The application will undergo verification by your host institution and then by the Department of Technical Education (DTE) of your respective State/UT.
