The Delhi University Financial Support Scheme (FSS) offers fee waivers of up to 100% (max ₹15,000) for full-time Department students with family income under ₹8 Lakhs.
Benefits & Financial Support
Provides a fee waiver up to 100% of the tuition fees (excluding exam and university fees) capped at ₹15,000/year for Category 1 (income <= 4L) and 50% waiver capped at ₹10,000/year for Category 2 (income 4L-8L).
Inclusions
Covers up to 100% fee waiver for general tuition fee components credited directly to student fee receipts.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Graduation
Must be enrolled in Engineering, Technology, Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Law. Minimum 50% marks required in previous exam.
Financial & Category
Selection Process
Based on family income tier (up to ₹8 Lakhs) and academic clearance (no Essential Repeat papers/arrears).
Renewal Policy
Must apply fresh each year
Continuous enrollment and passing all semester papers without Essential Repeat (ER) are required.
Application Process

Visit the Dean Students Welfare (DSW) website (dsw.du.ac.in).

Register and fill in the FSS online application.

Upload self-attested copies of the family income certificate, ITR, bonafide letter, and fee receipt.

Submit and hand over physical copies to your Department Head for verification.

Q.Are DU constituent college students eligible?
No, students of constituent colleges (like St. Stephen's, SRCC, LSR) are not eligible. It is strictly for students of DU Departments, Institutes, and Centers.
Q.Are NCWEB and SOL students eligible?
No, students enrolled in NCWEB and School of Open Learning (SOL) are not covered under the FSS.
Q.Is a notary-signed income certificate accepted?
No, the income certificate must be issued by a competent government authority (such as Tehsildar or SDM) after March 31 of the current financial year.
