About the Program

The e-Medhabruti Technical & Professional Scholarship provides ₹20,000 per year to meritorious Odisha students pursuing technical and professional courses like Engineering Medical MBA recognized by AICTE MCI UGC with minimum 55% marks and family income below ₹8 lakh annually.

Selected candidates for the Technical & Professional Merit category will receive a scholarship of ₹10,000 per annum. The scholarship amount for the complete duration of the course is generally disbursed as a one-time payment in the first semester/year of the course. The funds are transferred directly to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Selection Process

  • Candidates are selected based on academic merit, specifically the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in their last qualifying examination

  • This selection process is conducted district-wise and block-wise, in descending order of merit, until the allocated scholarship quota is filled

  • In case of a tie in marks, students with lower parental income are given preference

  • Additionally, the student's application must be validated and authenticated online by the Principal or Head of their educational institution

  • The annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹6,00,000.

Renewal Policy

  • Once awarded, the e-Medhabruti Technical & Professional Scholarship is automatically renewed on an annual basis for the entire duration of the course, provided the student's continued enrollment is validated by their educational institution

  • Students who have dropped out or completed their course are not eligible for renewal.
