About the Program
The IIT Bombay Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship provides a 100% tuition waiver and up to ₹40,000 pocket allowance for students with family income under ₹5 Lakhs.
Benefits & Financial Support
Covers 100% tuition fee waiver of ₹2,00,000 per year, plus a monthly pocket allowance of up to ₹4,000 (totaling ₹2,20,000 to ₹2,40,000 annually).
Inclusions
Full tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend
Income up to ₹1L gets ₹40k/yr stipend
₹1L-3L gets ₹30k/yr
₹3L-5L gets ₹20k/yr
Female students receive an extra ₹10,000/yr.

Must be enrolled in Engineering, Technology, Science, Design. Minimum 60% marks required in previous exam.

Selection Process
Purely based on JEE Advanced rank (for freshers) or CPI/SPI (minimum 6.0, no backlogs for seniors) and family income limit under ₹5,00,000.
Renewal Policy
Must maintain a CPI of 6.0 or above with no active backlogs at the end of each academic year.

Q.Can SC/ST students apply for MCM?
SC/ST students already receive an automatic 100% tuition fee exemption. They are covered under separate welfare schemes (like Free Messing) and do not need to apply for MCM.
Q.Can I combine this with other state scholarships?
No, students are not permitted to hold more than one scholarship or financial aid scheme concurrently.
