Selection Process

  • Candidates are selected based on a merit-and-income criteria: permanent residents of West Bengal studying in state institutions with 50%

  • –53% in Graduation (for PG level), and an annual family income not exceeding ₹1,20,000

  • Applicants must not be receiving any other government or non-government scholarship for the same course

  • Final selection requires a recommendation letter from the local MLA/MP and successful document verification via the online portal.

Renewal Policy

  • The scholarship is renewable annually for the duration of the course if the student maintains eligibility: continues to study in the same course, secures passing marks in the previous year's examination, and does not receive any other scholarship

  • Students must register once every 365 days and submit updated documents (including new marksheet and income certificate) via the online portal for renewal consideration.
