[LEGACY] Pudhumai Penn Scheme
About the Program
The Pudhumai Penn Scheme, officially known as Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, is launched by Tamil Nadu Government to provide Rs. 1,000 monthly financial assistance to eligible girl students. The scheme aims to enhance enrolment of girls from government schools to higher education institutions and promote socio-economic empowerment of women by reducing educational barriers.

Selection Process
Girl students studying in government and government aided schools from Class 6-12 are automatically eligible upon meeting the criteria
Eligible girls who have completed Class 6-12 from government or government aided schools in Tamil Nadu and are currently pursuing undergraduate, professional, paramedical, diploma, or ITI courses can apply
Application verification is done through the institutions and stipends are disbursed directly to student bank accounts via DBT.
Renewal Policy
Scholarship is automatically renewed monthly via DBT to eligible students' bank accounts till completion of their undergraduate course, diploma, ITI or recognised qualification
Students must maintain their enrolment status in recognised institutions.
Application Process
1. Visit the official Penkalvi online portal or contact your school/college principal. 2. Verify mobile number through OTP. 3. Enter personal details including name, contact information. 4. Fill education-related details. 5. Provide school information from Class 6th to 12th. 6. Submit the application form. 7. Institutional authorities will verify and process your application. 8. Once approved, monthly stipend will be credited to your bank account.
