Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme
About the Program
The Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme is a Direct Benefit Transfer initiative launched by the Tamil Nadu Government on August 9, 2024, to provide Rs. 1,000 monthly financial assistance to eligible boy students pursuing higher education. Designed to reduce dropout rates and support over 3.28 lakh students, the scheme benefits boys who completed their secondary education from Tamil Nadu government or government-aided schools.

Application Process
1. Obtain UMIS (University Management Information System) or EMIS ID from your college/university nodal officer; 2. Note your username (UMIS/EMIS ID) and password (last 4 digits of registered mobile number and date of birth); 3. Visit the UMIS portal and log in with your credentials; 4. Fill the Tamizh Pudhalvan Scheme online application form; 5. Upload all required supporting documents on the portal; 6. Review filled information for accuracy and submit the application form; 7. Print the submitted application form; 8. Attach hardcopies of all documents to the printed form; 9. Submit the complete application and documents to your college/university nodal officer; 10. Nodal officer will verify your application and documents for final processing
