Selection Process
Eligible only for male students who studied in Tamil Nadu government schools (or government-aided Tamil medium schools) from Class 6 to 12, and are enrolled in regular post-school higher education courses.
Renewal Policy
Renewed automatically each month subject to college attendance validation on the UMIS portal.

Bring your school records, Aadhaar card, and Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook copy to your college admission or scholarship desk.

The college will register and upload your profile on the UMIS portal at [umis.tn.gov.in](https://umis.tn.gov.in).
- 4Attendance Sync
The college portal will monitor your monthly attendance to authorize DBT payments.
- 5Account Check
Make sure your bank account has active DBT status to prevent transaction failures.
