Benefits & Financial Support

Eligible girl students receive a financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month. This amount is disbursed directly into the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) every month. The assistance continues until the completion of their undergraduate degree, diploma, ITI, or any other recognized higher education course.

Selection Process

Candidates are selected based on the following criteria:

Residency:Must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.

Schooling:Must be a girl student who studied from Class 6th to 12th in government schools. The scheme has been extended to include girl students who studied in government-aided schools (Tamil medium) from the academic year 2024-2025 onwards.

Higher Education:Must be currently enrolled in a recognized undergraduate (UG) degree, Diploma, ITI, or any other approved higher education course in Tamil Nadu.

How to Apply Online

College representatives or nodal officers will log into the official 'Penkalvi' portal (`penkalvi.tn.gov.in`) using their credentials.

The institution will validate student details, enter school and course information, and input the student's bank account details. The process involves verifying Aadhaar, bank accounts, and OTPs to confirm identity and eligibility.
