Benefits & Financial Support
The McCall MacBain Scholarship provides fully funded master's or second-entry professional undergraduate programs at McGill University. It covers tuition and fees for the full normal duration of the program, a living stipend of $2,300 CAD per month during academic terms, a one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal, and options for summer funding up to $5,000 CAD for meaningful research or impact work. Scholars also benefit from a leadership development program, mentorship, and French language courses. Based on an estimated annual tuition of $25,000 CAD, an 8-month stipend, relocation, and potential summer funding, the approximate annual value is $49,400 CAD, which converts to approximately 3,330,760 INR (using 1 CAD = 67.40 INR).

Degree Requirements:You must meet ONE of the following criteria to be eligible to apply in 2026 for the 2027 cohort:
You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor's degree by August 2027.
You earned your first bachelor's degree in the last five years (January 2021 or later).
You earned your first bachelor's degree more than five years ago, and were 30 years or younger on January 1st, 2026.
Program of Study:You must intend to apply for Fall 2027 admission to a full-time master's or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University. Programs with Summer 2027 admission only are also acceptable. The chosen program must consist of 45 credits or more and take place primarily on one of McGill's campuses.
Academic Standards:Applicants will need to meet the academic requirements, including GPA, for their desired McGill graduate programs.
Language Proficiency:Must be proficient in English.
Nationality:Open to citizens of all countries. Two-thirds of the scholarships are for Canadian students, and one-third for international students.
University Endorsement:For Canadian applicants, current students and recent graduates (those who graduated in 2024, 2025, or 2026) must be endorsed by their university. Canadian applicants who graduated in 2023 or earlier apply directly without endorsement. International applicants must seek endorsement if they are current students or recent graduates.

Submit your online McCall MacBain Scholarship application, including your resume, transcripts, short answers, and essays. The international applicant deadline for the 2027 cohort is typically August 19, 2026, and for Canadian/U.S. applicants, it's September 23, 2026.
- 6Apply to McGill University (Separately)
After submitting your scholarship application, you MUST apply separately to your intended McGill graduate program(s) by their respective deadlines. If you are selected as a finalist for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, you will be required to apply to McGill by December 2026 at the latest, even if your chosen program's general deadline is later.

If shortlisted, you will be invited to regional interviews (online or in-person).

Selected finalists will be invited to Montreal for final interviews in March 2027.
