About the Program
Nabanna Scholarship (West Bengal Chief Minister's Relief Fund) provides support to deserving students with financial need.
Benefits & Financial Support
Beneficiaries receive a fixed financial grant of ₹10,000 per academic year. The amount is transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account after verification. The scholarship is disbursed annually for the sanctioned duration of the course.

Candidates are selected based on a merit-and-income criteria: permanent residents of West Bengal studying in state institutions with 50%
–60% marks in Madhyamik/HS (for HS/UG levels) or 50%
–53% in Graduation (for PG level), and an annual family income not exceeding ₹1,20,000
Applicants must not be receiving any other government or non-government scholarship for the same course
Final selection requires a recommendation letter from the local MLA/MP and successful document verification via the online portal.
Renewal Policy
The scholarship is renewable annually for the duration of the course if the student maintains eligibility: continues to study in the same course, secures passing marks in the previous year's examination, and does not receive any other scholarship
Students must register once every 365 days and submit updated documents (including new marksheet and income certificate) via the online portal for renewal consideration.

Upload scanned copies (PDF, <500KB each) of: - Last exam marksheet (Madhyamik/HS/UG) - Aadhaar Card - Income Certificate (family income ≤ ₹1.2 lakh) - Bank Passbook (student’s name, with IFSC and account number visible) - Admission receipt for current academic year - Self-Declaration form - Prayer letter to the Chief Minister (signed)
