The Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students in Karnataka provides financial assistance to Other Backward Classes students pursuing education after Class 10. Offered by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare through the State Scholarship Portal (SSP), this scholarship offers fee reimbursement and maintenance allowance. Students must be permanent Karnataka residents and Indian citizens with family income up to Rs 1-2.5 lakh (category-dependent) and minimum 50% marks with no backlogs. Complete NSP One Time Registration (MANDATORY FIRST STEP) - Visit scholarships.gov.in (National Scholarship Portal). Click 'One Time Registration (OTR)'. Complete Aadhaar-based eKYC and Face Authentication. Receive OTR Number - REQUIRED for SSP application.

//ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in. Click 'Create New Account'. Enter Aadhaar number, name, mobile, email. Verify OTP. Link Aadhaar with bank account (mandatory).
- 3Fill Application Form - Log in to SSP portal. Click 'Apply for Post-Matric Scholarship'. Select 'Backward Classes Welfare Department - OBC Category'. Enter NSP OTR ID. Select your OBC sub-category (Category 1, 2A, 3A, 3B, NT, SNT). Fill personal details, academic information, family details. Enter bank account details (Aadhaar-linked). Declare that you are NOT receiving: Government hostel accommodation, OR Boarding/lodging assistance, OR Any other post-matric scholarship. Confirm no backlogs (must have passed all subjects in previous exam).
