Degree Level:Must be admitted as a full-time candidate for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Academic Record:Applicants must have an outstanding academic record, demonstrating exceptional promise or accomplishment in research. This typically includes graduating with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) / Honours (Distinction) or equivalent in their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
Current Scholars:Current NUS Research Scholars who have passed the PhD Qualifying Examination (QE) are also eligible for consideration.

Renewal Policy
The fellowship is initially awarded for one year and may be renewed each semester thereafter
Renewal is contingent upon the scholar's satisfactory academic progress and performance, and is subject to the University's discretion and recommendation of the Faculty
The maximum period of the fellowship is four years for PhD candidates.
