Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) provides massive financial support to J&K and Ladakh students to pursue higher education outside their UT.

Benefits & Financial Support

The scholarship provides financial assistance for academic fees and a maintenance allowance. Academic fees are directly transferred to the admitted institution, with varying ceilings: up to INR 30,000 per year for General Degree courses, up to INR 1.25 lakh per year for Professional/Engineering courses, and up to INR 3 lakh per year for Medical/BDS or equivalent courses. Additionally, all selected students receive an annual maintenance allowance of INR 1,00,000 to cover hostel, mess, books, and other incidental charges. This maintenance allowance is credited to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account in 10 monthly installments of โ‚น10,000 each.

Tuition fee coverage plus โ‚น1 Lakh maintenance stipend.
