About the Program
The Teach For India Fellowship is a 2-year full-time paid program where selected fellows serve as teachers in English medium government or low-fee private schools in underserved communities across 8 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. Fellows receive a base monthly stipend of INR 30,000. For Fellows relocating from their home city, a City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) ranging from INR 6,000 to INR 12,600 per month is provided, depending on the placement city. This brings the total monthly remuneration to between INR 36,000 and INR 42,600. Fellows are also eligible for reimbursements for work-related expenses (such as school supplies on a per-child cost basis), health insurance coverage up to INR 100,000, and access to free counselling. The stipend is disbursed monthly.
