The scholarship provides full tuition fee reimbursement and a monthly maintenance allowance. For minority students, the maintenance allowance is generally ₹500-₹1,200 per month. For self-financed courses, the tuition reimbursement is up to ₹20,000 or the actual fee, whichever is less. From the academic year 2026-27, the scholarship amount, including both Reimbursement of Tuition Fee (RTF) and Maintenance Fee (MTF), will be disbursed directly to the eligible student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system in a single installment. Students are then responsible for paying the applicable fees to their educational institutions.
