Candidates are selected based on their academic performance, primarily by securing first, second, or third positions in their respective examinations at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels

For first-year undergraduate students, a minimum of 80% marks or an equivalent grade in the 12th examination is required

For second and third-year undergraduate students, and first and second-year postgraduate students, a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the previous year's examination is necessary

Additionally, a merit-based scholarship is available for 10% of students from each faculty who secure at least 75% marks and maintain 75% attendance in their graduation years

After the results are declared, eligible students must register and submit their documents on the Samarth portal

The submitted documents are verified by the college and subsequently by the department, which then publishes the list of eligible beneficiaries.

The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to the student maintaining the required academic performance

For undergraduate students in their second and third years, renewal is contingent on securing a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the previous year's examination

Similarly, for postgraduate students in their second year, a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the first-year examination is required

Students must continue to meet the specified academic criteria to be eligible for the scholarship in subsequent years

Marks obtained after improvement tests are not considered for scholarship calculation.
