How Candidates are Selected
Selection is made automatically based on academic merit upon application for admission to ANU. There is no separate application required for this scholarship. Applicants are automatically assessed across 9 scholarship categories based on their citizenship and will first be considered for the highest-value award for which they are eligible. Eligible applicants are initially considered for the 50% tuition fee scholarship; if not selected for that, they are then considered for the 25% tuition fee scholarship. Scholarship offers are typically released after academic admission offers have been made.

Q.Is a separate application required for the ANU Chancellor's International Scholarship?
No, there is no separate application. All eligible international students applying for admission to an eligible program at the Australian National University are automatically considered for this scholarship.
Q.What does the ANU Chancellor's International Scholarship cover?
This scholarship is a tuition fee waiver, covering either 25% or 50% of your tuition fees for the entire duration of your degree (undergraduate or postgraduate). It does not cover living expenses, stipends, or other costs.
Q.How long does the scholarship last and what are the renewal conditions?
The scholarship is awarded for the full duration of your program, up to a maximum of four years. To maintain the scholarship in subsequent years, recipients must continue to study on a full-time load.
Q.Can I hold another scholarship concurrently with the ANU Chancellor's International Scholarship?
Yes, it is possible to hold this academic scholarship alongside an Access (equity) scholarship. However, students may only hold one academic scholarship at a time, and cannot hold more than one ANU Chancellor's International Scholarship.
