Fellowships may be extended up to the maximum sponsorship period (24 months for postdocs, 18 months for experienced researchers) if the research project cannot be completed within the initially approved time. The extension period cannot exceed the originally approved duration. Extensions may also be granted under certain circumstances related to family support or disability.
