About the Program

The Post-Matric Scholarship for EWS/General Category students in Karnataka provides financial assistance to economically weaker students from general category who don't fall under SC/ST/OBC/Minority reservations. This includes special provisions for children of defense personnel (with higher income limit Rs 10 lakh), children of unorganized workers (auto drivers, laborers), and Brahmin community students through separate board. Income limits and benefits vary by specific sub-category and department. Students must be permanent Karnataka residents with minimum 50% marks.
