Telangana Overseas Scholarship: ₹20 Lakh for Minority Students

The Telangana Minorities Welfare Department provides a significant scholarship. It is called the Chief Minister's Overseas Scholarship Scheme. This scheme offers up to ₹20 Lakhs. It also includes a one-way airfare of ₹60,000. This support helps minority students study abroad.

Eligibility Details

Applicants must be Telangana residents. They should belong to a minority community. This includes Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis. The age limit is 35 years as of July 1st. Family income must be below ₹5 Lakhs annually. Only one child per family can apply.

Students need at least 60% marks. This applies to their qualifying degree. A valid TOEFL/IELTS and GRE/GMAT score is mandatory. Admission to an accredited foreign university is also required. Finally, applicants must possess a valid passport.

Application Process and Deadlines

Applications are submitted online. Visit the Telangana ePASS scholarship portal. Look for "Overseas Scholarship Services". Select the Chief Minister's Overseas Scholarship Scheme. Complete the online registration form. Upload all necessary documents.

The application period for Spring Season 2026 has closed. The final deadline was July 15, 2026. Admissions between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026, were eligible. Students should prepare for future application cycles.

After online submission, original documents must be submitted. Take them to District Minorities Welfare Offices. Parents' physical presence is required for verification. Using fictitious certificates will lead to criminal action.
