Madhya Pradesh does not run one scholarship system — it runs at least three, each on a different website. This guide explains what each one is for, so you don't waste time on the wrong one.

Three different systems, three different websites

• State Scholarship Portal (scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in) — a group of separate welfare schemes, including Gaon Ki Beti Yojana (for rural girl students), Pratibha Kiran Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, and the MP Vikramaditya Free Education Scheme.

What this means for you: If you are SC, ST, or OBC, start with MPTAAS. If you scored well in your last exam regardless of category, also check MMVY. If neither fits, look through the general schemes on the state scholarship portal.

MPTAAS isn't only for tribal students

The name MPTAAS — Tribal Affairs Automation System — makes it sound like it is only for ST (tribal) students. It is not. MPTAAS also runs the Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students and the Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC students, each as its own separate form. The name reflects which department runs the system, not who can use it.

Ladli Lakshmi Yojana works differently

Most schemes on this list are yearly applications tied to your current class or course. Ladli Lakshmi Yojana is different. It is a long-term government savings scheme for girl children — money is invested over time by the government and released at key life stages, including for education. Think of it as a separate, long-term benefit rather than something you apply for every year like a normal scholarship.

Documents Madhya Pradesh almost always asks for

1. Aadhaar Card, linked to your mobile number and bank account.
