Bona fide students of Odisha with a minimum of 40% benchmark disability (certified by a medical board / UDID) whose family income does not exceed ₹60,000 per annum are eligible.
Q.What are the scholarship rates for different levels of education under the Banishree Scheme?
Primary students (Class I-V) receive ₹400/month, Middle & High School students (Class VI-X) receive ₹500/month, College students (Plus-II & Plus-III) receive ₹600/month, and Post-Graduate/Technical/Vocational students receive ₹700/month.
Q.Are there additional allowances provided under this scholarship?
Yes, visually impaired students can receive a Reader's Allowance, and orthopedically handicapped students can get a Transport Allowance under specific departmental conditions.
