About the Program
A financial assistance scheme by the Ministry of Minority Affairs to support meritorious girl students belonging to notified minority communities studying in classes 9 to 12.

The scholarship provides INR 5,000 annually for girl students studying in Class 9 and 10, and INR 6,000 annually for those in Class 11 and 12. The scholarship amount is intended to cover expenditure on school/college fees, purchase of syllabus books, stationery/equipment, and boarding/lodging charges. The amount is credited directly to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Students are advised to link their bank account with Aadhaar for faster disbursement and ensure the account remains active until the scholarship is disbursed. For students in Class 9th and 10th, the bank account can be in the name of the student or a joint account with either mother or father or a legal guardian. For Class 11th and 12th, the bank account must be in the name of the applicant/student only.

How to Apply Online

For fresh applications, it is mandatory to complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on NSP. OTR is a unique 14-digit number issued based on your Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID) and is applicable for your entire academic career.

To generate your OTR, you'll need to use face authentication. Install the 'Aadhaar Face RD' and 'NSP OTR' apps on your smartphone. Open the NSP OTR app, select 'eKYC with Face Auth', enter your reference number and OTP, then scan your face. Ensure your Aadhaar biometric lock status is 'Unlocked' before proceeding.

Once your OTR is successfully generated, log in to the NSP portal using your OTR number and the password you set. For the first-time login, an OTP will be sent, and you may need to create a new password.

Complete all sections of the online application form accurately. This includes personal details, educational qualifications, bank details, parents' occupation, and annual income details.

Upload all required documents, which typically include: Aadhaar Card, Income Certificate (issued by a competent authority), Self-Certified Minority Community Certificate (or certified by parent/guardian if under 18), Previous Year Marksheet (minimum 50% marks), School Verification Form (attested by the Principal), and a copy of your Aadhaar-linked Bank Passbook.
