    Common Questions (FAQs)

How is the scholarship amount disbursed and what expenses does it cover?

The scholarship amount, which ranges from ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 annually, is directly transferred to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. These funds are exclusively meant for essential educational expenses, including tuition fees, hostel charges, and mess/food costs.

What are the key conditions for scholarship renewal each year?

The FFE scholarship is renewable annually, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic performance, continues full-time enrollment in an eligible course, and fulfills all reporting and participation requirements. Continued financial need is also a criterion. Students must re-apply for renewal each financial year through the application portal, submitting updated academic records and other necessary documents by the specified deadline (e.g., September 30, 2025, for the 2025-26 academic year).

Is Aadhaar seeding mandatory for receiving the scholarship funds?

Yes, Aadhaar seeding is crucial and has become mandatory for most government and similar scholarships, including FFE, to facilitate Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This ensures that scholarship funds are credited directly and efficiently to your Aadhaar-linked bank account, minimizing delays and preventing fraudulent claims. If your Aadhaar is not seeded with your bank account, the approved scholarship funds may not be disbursed successfully.
