Benefits & Financial Support
The scholarship provides Rs. 12,000 per annum for Undergraduate (UG) courses for the first three years, and Rs. 20,000 per annum for Post-Graduate (PG) courses and for the 4th and 5th years of technical/professional courses. The amount is transferred annually via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Selection involves a two-level verification process: first by the Institute Nodal Officer (INO) at the student's college/university, and second by the concerned State Higher Education Department or designated State Nodal Agency.
Renewal Policy
Scholarship is renewable annually for up to 5 years total
To renew, students must apply again on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) as a renewal applicant, submitting necessary marksheets
Key conditions for renewal include:securing at least 50% marks in annual exams, maintaining at least 75% attendance, not receiving any other scholarship from another department/ministry, and having no complaints of indiscipline, criminal behavior, or ragging
If a student misses the renewal deadline, they can apply in the subsequent year if they still meet all eligibility criteria.
