Q.Is the J.N. Tata Endowment a loan or a grant?
It is primarily an interest-free loan scholarship of up to ₹20 Lakhs. However, based on academic performance abroad, the endowment may convert a portion of the loan into a non-repayable gift grant (up to ₹7.5 Lakhs).
Q.What is the repayment term for the loan?
The loan is interest-free and must be repaid in full within 7 years of completing the course, in installments starting from the second year of completion.
Q.Can I apply if I do not have a confirmed admission offer yet?
Yes, you can apply even if you are awaiting admission offers. However, you must update the endowment as soon as you secure a confirmed seat to be shortlisted for interviews.
