For Post-Matric scholarships, the scheme provides full fee reimbursement (Tuition Fee, Special Fees, Other Fees & Exam Fees) directly to the college accounts, known as RTF (Reimbursement of Tuition Fee). Additionally, a Maintenance Allowance (MTF) is provided annually for food and hostel expenses: ₹10,000 for ITI students, ₹15,000 for Polytechnic students, and ₹20,000 for students pursuing Degree and above courses. This MTF amount is credited to the mother's account of the eligible student, or to the natural guardian's account in case of the mother's demise or absence. For Pre-Matric scholarships, the financial assistance typically ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹2,250 per year per student, varying by class, category (SC/ST/Disabled), and residence status (hosteller/day scholar). This can include monthly allowances of ₹100-₹150 for school students (classes 5-10) and yearly ad-hoc grants. All scholarship amounts are subject to the availability of funds and are disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-seeded accounts.
