Q.Who is eligible for the Sikshashree Scholarship?
SC and ST day scholars who are permanent residents of West Bengal, studying in Classes 5, 6, 7, or 8 in government or government-aided schools, with a family income not exceeding ₹2.5 Lakh per year.
Q.Are hostellers eligible for the Sikshashree scheme?
No. The Sikshashree scheme is strictly for regular day scholars. SC/ST students staying in government hostels have separate hostel-based welfare benefits.
Q.Can I apply for Sikshashree online on my own?
No. Sikshashree is an offline school-based scheme. The forms are distributed, collected, and verified directly by the school authorities.
