The fellowship is initially awarded for one year and may be renewed each semester thereafter. Renewal is contingent upon the scholar's satisfactory academic progress and performance, and is subject to the University's discretion and recommendation of the Faculty. The maximum period of the fellowship is four years for PhD candidates.
