The scholarship provides comprehensive financial assistance. It covers 100% of tuition and examination fees in aided colleges, and 50% in non-aided professional courses. Additionally, a monthly maintenance allowance is provided for up to 10 months, ranging from ₹230 to ₹1,200, depending on the course type and whether the student is a hosteller or day scholar. For day scholars, the monthly allowance varies from ₹230 to ₹550 (Group 4 to Group 1 courses), and for hostellers, it ranges from ₹380 to ₹1200 (Group 4 to Group 1 courses). Funds are disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.

Selection Process

  • Candidates must be domiciles of Maharashtra and belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha community

  • They must be pursuing post-matric education (Class 11 or above, including diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses) in a government-recognized institution within Maharashtra

  • The annual family income from all sources must be less than or equal to ₹2,50,000

  • For professional courses, admission must be secured through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) round

  • Only two professional courses are allowed per student

  • The scholarship is generally limited to two male children per family, with no such restriction for female applicants.

Renewal Policy

  • To renew the scholarship, students must pass their previous year's examination

  • If a student fails for the first time in any year, they may still be eligible for examination fees and maintenance allowance

  • However, if a student fails the same class for a second time, they will not receive any benefits until they pass and are promoted to the next higher class

  • Students pursuing Group A courses may have their award renewed after a first-time failure

  • A minimum of 75% attendance in the current academic year is mandatory for renewal

  • Students must actively apply for renewal each academic year.
