Q.What is the eligibility for State Merit Scholarship?
Students must have satisfactorily completed the prescribed course in a recognized school/college of Meghalaya, been regular in attendance, passed in the first attempt, and not migrated institutions within two years preceding the examination.
Q.What are the scholarship amounts and numbers?
Junior: 25 nos. @ Rs. 65/- p.m.; Senior: 25 nos. @ Rs. 90/- p.m.; Post Graduate: 5 nos. @ Rs. 120/- p.m.; Research: 20 nos. @ Rs. 600/- p.m.
Q.What is the tenure of the scholarship?
Tenable for two years for General Education, entire period for Technical Education at Post Matric level; PG Research: 4 years for PhD, 2 years for M.Phil or till completion.
