Q.Who is eligible for Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities?
Students from Class 11 onwards (UG, PG, MPhil, PhD) belonging to recognized minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi/Zoroastrian) with minimum 50% marks in previous examination and annual family income not exceeding ₹2,00,000.
Q.What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers admission/tuition fees, course fees for technical and professional courses, and maintenance allowance for hostellers (approximately ₹1,000) and day scholars (approximately ₹500) for 10 months.
Q.Is there any reservation for female students?
Yes, 30% of scholarships are earmarked for girl students of each minority community in each state/union territory, which is transferable to male students if sufficient female applicants are unavailable.
