About the Program
The Post-Matric Scholarship to SBC Students by Government of Maharashtra supports Special Backward Classes students pursuing education from Class 11 onwards through the MahaDBT portal. It provides monthly maintenance allowances up to ₹425 for hostellers to promote higher education and financial inclusion. Eligible Maharashtra domiciles with family income up to ₹2.5 lakh can apply online by 31 March 2026.

Financial assistance includes 100% tuition fees, exam fees, and a monthly maintenance allowance. Maintenance allowance ranges from INR 90 to INR 425 per month for 10 months, depending on the course group and hosteller/day scholar status. Benefits are directly transferred to Aadhaar-seeded accounts.
