Renewal applications from previous year beneficiaries processed as auto-renewal without reapplication
Selection based on eligibility verification rather than merit ranking - all eligible students receive scholarship.
Renewal Policy
Annual renewal required but auto-processed for continuing beneficiaries who received scholarship in previous year
Students must maintain 50% marks and continue enrollment in recognized school
No need to reapply if already approved.
Application Process
(1) Obtain SATS ID from school or retrieve from https://sts.karnataka.gov.in/KMSID using student name, DOB, and school details; (2) Visit https://ssp.karnataka.gov.in and click 'Create Account' under Pre-Matric section; (3) Enter SATS ID, Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email to register; (4) Set password and complete account creation; (5) Login with SSP ID and password; (6) Complete e-KYC by entering Aadhaar number and OTP verification; (7) Fill application form with personal details, academic information, and category details; (8) Upload all required documents in specified format (PDF/JPG, max 200KB each); (9) Verify all details carefully as corrections have limited window; (10) Submit application and download acknowledgment receipt; (11) Download Freeship Card after e-KYC approval; (12) Track application status through 'Track Student Scholarship Status' option using SATS ID

Q.What is the difference between state-funded and centrally-funded schemes?
Classes 1-8 are covered under state-funded scheme with ₹6 lakh income limit, while Classes 9-10 fall under centrally-funded scheme with ₹2.5 lakh income limit. Benefits structure also differs slightly between the two.
Q.Do I need to reapply every year?
If you received the scholarship in 2024-25, your application will be auto-renewed for 2025-26. You do NOT need to apply again. Only fresh applicants need to apply.
Q.What is SATS ID and how do I get it?
SATS (Student Achievement Track System) ID is a unique ID for all Karnataka students. Your school should have provided it. If not, retrieve it from https://sts.karnataka.gov.in/KMSID using your name, date of birth, and school code.
Q.What is Freeship Card?
Freeship Card is a digital card available to SC students after completing e-KYC. It provides additional fee waivers and can be downloaded from your SSP portal login.
Q.Can I apply if my parents have regular government jobs?
No, students whose parents are in regular government employment are NOT eligible for this scholarship.
Q.What if my bank account is not Aadhaar-linked?
Aadhaar-bank seeding and NPCI mapping are MANDATORY. Visit your bank and complete Aadhaar linking before applying, otherwise scholarship payment will fail.
