Benefits & Financial Support
₹1.3 Lakh+
The scholarship provides varying financial assistance depending on the educational level. For students in Class 9 and 10, the scholarship is up to ₹75,000 per annum. For students in Class 11 and 12, it is up to ₹1,25,000 per annum. These amounts are intended to cover tuition fees, hostel fees, books, and other educational expenses. For students pursuing higher education (undergraduate and postgraduate courses) in designated top-class institutions, the scheme covers the full tuition fee (with a ceiling of ₹2.00 lakhs per annum for private institutions and ₹3.72 lakhs per annum for private sector flying clubs for specific courses), living expenses of ₹3,000 per month (₹36,000 annually), and ₹5,000 per annum for books and stationery. Additionally, a one-time assistance of up to ₹45,000 is provided for a computer/laptop. The entire scholarship amount is disbursed directly into the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Selection Process

For school students (Class 9 and 11), as of the 2026-27 academic year, the YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) conducted by the NTA has been discontinued

Selection is now purely merit-based on the marks obtained by the student in their previous class's final examination (Class 8 marks for Class 9 applicants and Class 10 marks for Class 11 applicants)

How to Apply Online
Applications are submitted online via Online. Complete eKYC, upload scanned documents, and submit before the closing date.

Go to the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at https://scholarships.gov.in/.
- 2New Registration
If you are a new applicant, click on 'New Registration' under the 'Applicant Corner'. Read the instructions/guidelines carefully, provide the undertaking by clicking the checkbox, and then click 'Continue'.
- 3Complete Registration
Register by providing basic details such as your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and other required information. You will receive an Application ID and password.
- 4Login
Use your generated Application ID and password to log in to the portal. For fresh applications, click on 'Fresh Application' under the 'Applicant Corner' after registration.
- 5Select Scholarship
Choose the 'PM-YASASVI Top Class Education Scheme for OBC/EBC/DNT' from the available schemes.
