Q.What is the benefit amount under the PM-YASASVI Top Class Education Scheme?
For students of Class 9 and 10, the scholarship is up to ₹75,000 per year. For Class 11 and 12, it is up to ₹1,25,000 per year.
Q.Who can apply for this scheme?
Students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Denotified, Nomadic Tribes (DNT) categories whose annual parental income is under ₹2.5 Lakh can apply.
Q.Do I need to clear an entrance exam for this scholarship?
No, selection is now done based on merit list compilation of students studying in designated empanelled top-class institutions, without a separate YET entrance test.
