Q.What is UDID and how do I get it?
UDID (Unique Disability ID) is a central government ID for persons with disabilities. Register at https://www.swavlambancard.gov.in to obtain UDID card. This is MANDATORY before applying for PWD scholarship.
Q.Do I need to upload disability certificate?
No, enter your UDID number in application and disability type/percentage will automatically populate from UDID database. Manual disability certificate upload not required.
Q.What is the attendance requirement?
PWD students must maintain 75% attendance throughout the academic year. This is strictly monitored for scholarship eligibility.
Q.Can students with any disability apply?
Yes, students with any recognized disability registered in UDID system are eligible. Disability percentage is auto-fetched from UDID.
Q.Is there a separate income limit for PWD?
Income limit typically ₹2.5 lakh per annum, but verify on portal as it may vary. Generally aligned with SC/ST Classes 9-10 limit.
