About the Program
The Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students in Odisha provides financial assistance covering school fees, books, uniform and maintenance allowance for students from Scheduled Caste families with income below ₹2.5 lakh studying in Class 9-10.

For the academic year 2025-26 onwards, the Pre-Matric Scholarship rates for Scheduled Caste (SC) boarders residing in hostels have been enhanced. SC boy boarders receive ₹16,000 per annum, and SC girl boarders receive ₹17,000 per annum. The scholarship provides monthly financial assistance for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year, covering school fees, books, uniform, maintenance allowance, admission, and other compulsory fees. Funds are directly transferred to the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The Headmaster/Mistress, acting on behalf of the student, will register new applicants using the student's Aadhaar number. Identity verification is done via OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

Upload scanned copies of all mandatory documents, which typically include: Aadhaar card of the student, Caste certificate, Income certificate of parent/guardian, Marksheet of the last qualifying exam (Class 8), Bank passbook front page (with account number and IFSC code), Domicile certificate, and School bonafide certificate.
