The Pre Matric Scholarship for ST students in Odisha provides financial assistance covering school fees, books, uniform and maintenance allowance for students from Scheduled Tribe families with income below ₹2.5 lakh studying in Class 9-10.

The Pre-Matric Scholarship rates for ST students have been enhanced to ₹16,000 per annum for boys and ₹17,000 per annum for girls, effective from December 1, 2025. The scholarship amount is paid once a year and is credited directly to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
