About the Program

The Post Matric Scholarship for ST students in Odisha provides financial assistance covering tuition fees plus monthly maintenance allowance for students from Scheduled Tribe families with income below ₹2.5 lakh pursuing post-matriculation education.

Benefits & Financial Support

₹1.2 Lakh+

The scholarship amount is disbursed annually and covers the actual tuition/course fees, admission/re-admission fees, exam fees, and other compulsory non-refundable fees (such as library, sports, cultural society, magazine, social service, union, computer/internet, and laboratory fees). A maintenance allowance is also provided, typically for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year. The highest annual assistance, including course fees, can be up to ₹5,50,000 (e.g., for MBBS courses), with an additional annual maintenance allowance of up to ₹13,500. The minimum annual maintenance allowance for day scholars is ₹5,500 (₹550 per month for 10 months). All scholarship funds are transferred directly to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
