The scholarship amount is variable and depends on the course category and whether the student is a hosteller or day scholar. It can range from ₹2,500 to ₹13,500 annually for various courses. For degree and post-graduate level professional courses (Group 1), it can include an academic allowance of ₹10,000 yearly and tuition fee assistance of ₹10,000 yearly, totaling up to ₹20,000. For other professional courses (Group 2), an academic allowance of ₹8,000 yearly and tuition fee assistance of ₹5,000 yearly is provided. For graduate and post-graduate courses not covered in Group 1 & 2, it includes an academic allowance of ₹6,000 yearly and tuition fee assistance of ₹2,000 yearly. All post-matriculation non-degree courses (Post Class 10th level) receive an academic allowance of ₹5,000 yearly. The scholarship components for fee reimbursement, tuition fees, and maintenance allowance are transferred directly into the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Selection Process

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals domiciled in Haryana and belong to Backward Classes (BC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), or Denotified and Nomadic Tribes (DNT) communities

  • They must be studying at the post-matriculation or post-secondary level (Class 11 and above) in a recognized institution and have passed their previous matriculation or higher-level examination

  • The annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹2,50,000

  • A minimum of 50% marks in the previous examination and 75% attendance in the previous academic session are generally required

  • Applications undergo a three-tier verification process: first by the institutional nodal officer, then by the district nodal officer/city magistrate, and finally by the state nodal officer, ensuring the scholarship benefits reach eligible students

  • Students accepting benefits from other scholarships are not eligible.

Renewal Policy

  • The scholarship is renewed annually, subject to good conduct and the maintenance of at least 75% attendance in the previous academic session

  • Attendance is verified through an Aadhaar-based attendance system

  • If a student fails to appear for the annual examination due to illness, the scholarship can still be renewed upon submission of a medical certificate from an approved authority, provided it is accepted by the institution

  • A minimum of 50% marks in the previous final examination is also typically required for renewal.
